Charlie Bickett was born in 1952 to J.E. and Colletta Bickett in Raywick, KY. Being from a devout Catholic family, he was one of nine children. In his adult life, Charlie found himself embarking on many eclectic career paths ranging from: Mayor of Raywick, to bar owner, to Unit Director at Marion Co. Detention Center, then back to Mayor and back to bar owner. Charlie retired in 2002, and lives in his Great-Great-Great Grandfather's cabin on the family farm, which was built in 1796. He enjoys spending time with his daughter, Karrie, painting folk art, and writing stories to preserve Raywick's history.
